The title is derived from a text by Hans-Peter Dürr, a student of Werner Heisenberg, whose writings have been a significant source of inspiration for me.
The painting depicts a kneeling girl balancing a leaf delicately on the tip of her finger. The composition is divided into two parts: the lower section reveals a dark landscape, into which fragments of the girl’s figure seem to dissolve, blur, or stretch across its surface.
The image carries an inherent ambivalence—her face appears both young and aged at the same time. A central aspect of the work is the gradual dissolution of boundaries: at certain points, the distinction between the figure and its surroundings begins to fade, suggesting a fluid and unstable relationship between form and environment.
