My work presents late-day and liminal moments—sunset, shifting skies, the thin band of light along a distant field—as opportunities to reveal how color, scale, and rhythm shape perception. I am drawn to the vertical cadence of trunks and branches and to the way simplified foliage becomes a pattern of warm and cool planes. Influences include plein-air practice, early modern colorists, and contemporary landscape painters; I use those lineages to examine memory and the subtle shifts that make a scene feel lived-in rather than illustrated.
