In The Storm of Change, I explore the turbulent, often beautiful transformation that arises from chaos. This piece blends abstraction and surrealism to depict a vessel sailing through a violent sea—waves that also morph into the contours of a human face. This merging of landscape and identity suggests how external upheaval can reshape the inner self.
Using acrylic for its fluid dynamism and layering silver foil to catch shifting light, I wanted the painting to evoke the unpredictable nature of change—how it can simultaneously erode and illuminate. The storm above mirrors an emotional or spiritual unraveling below, yet both sky and face are inseparably one, blurring the boundary between environment and being.
