This large-scale piece offers not only critique, but hope. Seven intertwined sections of cardboard form a cohesive whole - a sunset at sea constructed from fragile, discarded materials. Woven together with rope and wood, these fragments symbolize the possibility of repair, of reconnection. Connexa (Latin for “connected”) asserts that nature’s wounds, though deep, can still be mended through collective effort and awareness. The textured reliefs interact with light, casting layered shadows that shift throughout the day, reminding us that healing is a process, not a fixed moment. A visual patchwork and a metaphorical one, this work invites viewers to see the beauty in restoration and unity.

- Teodora Jurić-Miljuš (b. 1985, Bern, Switzerland) is a Serbian contemporary artist known for her work in painting, assemblage, and art installations. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade (2008) and an active member of the Association of Fine Artists of Serbia (ULUS) since 2010. Teodora’s artistic journey began with a deep exploration of the female body, emotions, and psychological states, expressed through abstract expressionism. Her early works featured dynamic brushwork and bold color palettes, capturing the complexity of human emotions. In the mid-2010s, she expanded her practice to include assemblages and installations, merging acrylic painting with materials such as wood, plastic, and cotton. This fusion of traditional and 3D elements lends her work a distinctive texture and depth. A strong advocate for sustainability, she frequently incorporates recycled natural materials, highlighting the interplay between art and the environment. Beyond painting, Teodora is also involved in graphic design and jewelry design, continuously expanding her creative expression across multiple disciplines. Solo exhibitions> 2007.
