“Passing through the Light” is a contemplative piece that explores the threshold between earthly existence and the infinite unknown. Glistening gates part above a sea of clouds, inviting the viewer toward a radiant source that seems both divine and deeply personal. Using layered acrylics and shifting iridescent highlights, the painting interacts with ambient light—glowing subtly from different viewing angles—symbolizing the ever-changing nature of spiritual awakening and human perspective. This work reflects on transformation, release, and the powerful serenity that accompanies surrender to the light.

- I come from the mountainous city of Vratsa, nestled in the northwest of Bulgaria—a place where the landscape quietly teaches you about beauty, resilience, and stillness. I began painting about four years ago, during a time of profound personal loss. The passing of my husband marked a turning point in my life, leading me to art as a path of healing, reflection, and rediscovery. Painting has since become a way for me to reconnect—with nature, with memory, and with light. My works often explore the quiet emotional spaces between darkness and illumination, solitude and love, grief and transcendence. Whether it’s the shimmer of moonlight on snow, the glow of love in a winter town, or a radiant gate opening to something beyond, I try to express what words cannot: the invisible warmth that exists even in the coldest moments. My artistic journey is still unfolding. Each painting is both a step forward and a conversation with the past—a way to honor what has been lost, while celebrating the light that remains and grows.
