The work is a fresco of the contemporary landscape, a new form of loneliness, where individuals try to take part more in digital environments and socialize in the digital world to avoid their own emotional loneliness. The probability that socialization in real life is more affected increases and thus digital loneliness can be defined as a growing social problem. Among adolescents, the passion for computers, smartphones and the Internet can oscillate from a balanced and healthy dosage to addiction, involving multiple negative consequences on the physical, psychological and social functioning. The ritualistic aspect and the downward slope of the uniform characters in the sculpture reflect this danger. In digital loneliness, which is defined as the new form of loneliness, while individuals try to take part more in digital environments and socialize in the digital world to avoid their emotional loneliness. Individuals feel inadequate, and unhappiness is both a matter of depression, but simultaneously also means peace by capping it.
