Plunging presents a composition of raw earth tones interrupted by a narrow stream of vivid blue water flowing toward absence. The left side of the canvas is torn away, replaced by rope where the land, and open space where water should continue. This void is a symbolic rupture in the natural cycle. This painting speaks of ecological collapse, of disappearing waters and landscapes vanishing due to human negligence. Crafted with all natural elements and executed in subdued tones, the work’s sculptural details and interaction with light create an immersive experience that deepens its environmental message. This piece serves as both a warning and a quiet elegy.

- Teodora Jurić-Miljuš (b. 1985, Bern, Switzerland) is a Serbian contemporary artist known for her work in painting, assemblage, and art installations. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade (2008) and an active member of the Association of Fine Artists of Serbia (ULUS) since 2010. Teodora’s artistic journey began with a deep exploration of the female body, emotions, and psychological states, expressed through abstract expressionism. Her early works featured dynamic brushwork and bold color palettes, capturing the complexity of human emotions. In the mid-2010s, she expanded her practice to include assemblages and installations, merging acrylic painting with materials such as wood, plastic, and cotton. This fusion of traditional and 3D elements lends her work a distinctive texture and depth. A strong advocate for sustainability, she frequently incorporates recycled natural materials, highlighting the interplay between art and the environment.
