Jana Kreft is a visual artist who lives and works in Celle, Germany. She develops her work at the intersection of material, structure, color dynamics, and personal experience – guided by a process-oriented and intuitive approach. Since 2018, she has studied under the renowned artist Gabriele Musebrink, formally joining her program in 2021. In 2023, Kreft successfully completed the course 'Process Painting of Intuitive Power' at the Academy of Fine Arts Kolbermoor and has since been a master student of Musebrink. Her artistic development has also been shaped by further studies with distinguished artists such as Günther Reil, Margret Schubert, Gabriele Middelmann, Michael Foley, Bernhard Vogel, Susanne Gudehus, and Carsten Westphal. Kreft's works have been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Germany and abroad, including Florence, Barcelona, Venice, Budapest, New York, Sanremo, Rome, Dubai, Beijing, and in many significant venues throughout Germany, such as Celle Castle, the Higher Regional Court of Celle, the Albert König Museum in Unterlüß, and the Monastery Church in Salzwedel. Her paintings have also been featured at major international art fairs and exhibitions, including ARTEXPO New York, World Art Dubai, and the Bienal de Arte at MEAM Barcelona. In the ARTEXPO New York 2025 catalogue, curator Salvatore Russo describes her work as “pure visual poetry – ...paintings that strike the canvas like a whirlwind, yet with such elegance that, in the end, a new rainbow of light always emerges.” Kreft is a member of the AmateurMalkreis Celle and the German Federal Association of Visual Artists (BBK Niedersachsen).
