"Winter Glow" is my homage to the quiet strength of light in the coldest moments of the year. In this painting, the glow of a winter sunset pushes gently through the fading day, brushing bare trees and snow-laced branches with warmth and melancholy. The scene captures a moment suspended in stillness — where the hush of snow meets the fire of dusk. I wanted to express how even the coldest landscapes hold a deep inner radiance. Light does not simply fall; it lingers, it comforts, it remembers. In winter, especially, it feels like a promise. This work is part of my ongoing exploration of how color and silence can coexist, and how light, even when fading, holds space for hope.

- I come from the mountainous city of Vratsa, nestled in the northwest of Bulgaria—a place where the landscape quietly teaches you about beauty, resilience, and stillness. I began painting about four years ago, during a time of profound personal loss. The passing of my husband marked a turning point in my life, leading me to art as a path of healing, reflection, and rediscovery. Painting has since become a way for me to reconnect—with nature, with memory, and with light. My works often explore the quiet emotional spaces between darkness and illumination, solitude and love, grief and transcendence. Whether it’s the shimmer of moonlight on snow, the glow of love in a winter town, or a radiant gate opening to something beyond, I try to express what words cannot: the invisible warmth that exists even in the coldest moments. My artistic journey is still unfolding. Each painting is both a step forward and a conversation with the past—a way to honor what has been lost, while celebrating the light that remains and grows.
