This sculpture represents the belief in divinity, without connotation to a particular religion, because almost all religions have something in common: prayer. Prayer is our direct connection to heaven because no matter how complicated technological achievements are, they can be deciphered analytically - and, after all, how simplistic they are compared to the miracle of the complexity of living organisms or the cosmic universe and its movements! In the construction of the prayer, the author focused on the fact that prayer itself has nothing to do with age or gender, it is pure spirit and exists within us. The sculpture is structured on three distinct elements: the head bowed before the divinity, with the chin on the chest so that the face is not distinguishable, the hands crossed in prayer and the kneeling as a sign of humility. Vasile’s sculpture is an intercession between the viewer and the heavens, a bridge between the earthly and the divine, free from the constraints of identity and grounded in the humility of the human spirit.
