Exhibition & Fair: Traveller’s Art Fair

Location: Golden Duck Gallery (1092 Budapest, Ráday utca 31/a, Hungary)

1. Eligibility & Registration

• Bidding is open to all individuals aged 18 or older, as well as legal entities.

• Participation in the auction requires prior account registration on the platform. The following information is mandatory upon registration:

  • Full Name / Company Name

  • Billing Address

  • Valid Email Address

• Credit/debit card registration is not required to place bids.

2. Pricing, Financial Terms & Commission

• Starting Price & Reserve: The starting bid is clearly stated for each lot. There is no reserve price; the artwork will be sold to the highest valid bidder at or above the starting price.

• Bid Increments: Bidders may place custom bids freely, subject to standard system minimum step rules.

• No Buyer’s Premium: The Gallery charges 0% Buyer’s Premium; the final hammer price is the total gross purchase price.

• Currency & VAT: All bids and payments are in EUR (€) and prices are inclusive of applicable VAT.

3. Auction Bidding Process & Timing

• Duration: The online auction begins on August 21, 2026, at 00:00 (Budapest time / CEST) and ends on August 30, 2026, at 00:00 (Budapest time / CEST).

• Soft Close (Anti-Sniping): If a bid is placed within the final minutes of a lot closing, the bidding countdown will automatically extend (by 2–5 minutes) to ensure fair competition.

• “Buy Now” Option: All artworks remain available for immediate purchase at their fixed exhibition list price throughout the fair. Exercising the "Buy Now" option immediately withdraws the piece from both the physical exhibition and the active online auction.

4. Payment Terms & Obligations

• The winning bidder is obligated to settle the full purchase amount within 5 business days following the conclusion of the auction.

• Accepted Payment Methods:

  • Credit/Debit Card

  • Bank Wire Transfer

  • Cash in person at the gallery

• Default on Payment: Failure to pay within 5 business days will result in the immediate and permanent suspension/ban of the user account, and the artwork will be offered to the second-highest bidder.

5. Pick-Up, Shipping & Liability

• Gallery Pick-Up: Purchased and paid artworks can be collected in person at the gallery (Golden Duck Gallery, 1092 Budapest, Ráday utca 31/a) during regular opening hours by prior appointment.

• Shipping: Domestic and international shipping can be arranged upon agreement strictly at the buyer’s expense.

• Transport Liability: Any loss or damage occurring during transit is the sole liability of the shipping/courier service. The Gallery assumes no liability for damages incurred during transit.

6. Authenticity, Provenance & Condition

• Sales Agreement: The sale of each artwork is formalized via an official sales and purchase agreement, which also serves as proof of authenticity and provenance.

• "As-Is" Principle: All lots are sold on an "as seen / as-is" basis. Bidders are responsible for examining the condition of the artwork through the provided photographs, descriptions, or via in-person inspection at the gallery prior to placing a bid.
