I am Attila Kovács, known artistically as Att CoWatch, a Hungarian contemporary surrealist painter whose work explores the hidden realities beneath the visible world. My artistic vision was shaped by my childhood memories from Transcarpathia, the imaginative stories of my grandfather, the influence of the great classical masters, and the surrealist universe of Salvador Dalí. My paintings reflect my personal history, my longing for freedom, vulnerability, and the hidden layers of the human psyche. The defining experiences of my life—including the pressure of the Soviet system, the harsh reality of military service, and the struggle for everyday survival—have become deeply embedded in my visual language. For me, surrealism is not merely an artistic style; it is an inner refuge and a space of spiritual freedom. Through my work, I create both personal confessions and universal visions, revealing the emotional, psychological, and symbolic dimensions that exist beneath the surface of reality.
