Munkáimban sokszor a színek harmóniája vezet, máskor konkrét elképzeléseket szeretnék megjeleníteni. Minden alkotás egy kísérlet és egy felfedezőút. Számomra a festészet a szabadság tere. My name is Éva Ilona Ádám, and I was born on December 3, 1955. I began pursuing painting in 2016, after my retirement. At the beginning of my artistic journey, I created figurative paintings, where representation and storytelling played a central role. In 2020, I discovered the Fluid Art technique, and it immediately captivated me. This form of painting allows acrylic paints to flow freely across the canvas. I prepare the paints with special pouring mediums, then create the artwork by pouring, tilting, and moving the paint rather than using brushes. The possibilities of this technique are limited only by imagination. One of the unique aspects of Fluid Art is that the creative process is both intentional and spontaneous at the same time. While I choose the colors and the basic technique, a significant part of the final result is shaped by chance. This is why no two pieces are ever alike—every painting is truly one of a kind. Over the years, my artistic practice has continued to evolve. I often paint over Fluid Art backgrounds and use texture pastes and stencils to introduce texture, depth, and new layers of meaning. These techniques allow me to balance free-flowing movement with conscious composition. Sometimes the harmony of colors guides my work; at other times, I aim to express a specific vision. Every artwork is both an experiment and a journey of discovery. For me, painting is a space of freedom—a place of inner stillness where the outside world fades away, and colors, shapes, and surfaces take the lead. While creating, I am present both as an artist and as an observer. I choose the colors, materials, and techniques, and then I allow room for the unexpected.
