In the painting " Dialogue with Oneself", I continue my exploration of identity in the Homo Viator series, where journey is understood as internal transformation. A single model is depicted twice: in blue and pink, turned inward and looking forward. This is not a sequence but a simultaneity of states - a person is always multiple.
In the painting, I create ruptures of visual layers - abstract lines and calligraphy emerge through realistic figures, as if one layer of reality is torn and another shines through it. This is how identity works: we accumulate layers of experience that coexist, manifest simultaneously, and enter into dialogue, as if the past shines through the present.
The word "Love", written over the composition, is the key. Love here is not an emotion but an existential condition: only through accepting one's multiplicity is a genuine dialogue with oneself possible.
