This piece was part of a local art exhibition called "Peace" I was allowed to be part of in 2025. After researching themes and symbols of peace, I decided to paint Eirene, the Greek Goddess of Peace and Spring. Painting the daughter of Zeus and Themis covered in forget-me-not was a much later decision. It visualized the fragile side of peace once it's being taken for granted and falls into oblivion. A heavy lesson humanity has to relearn over and over again. 
Revisiting the marble statue of Eirene, is a perfect reminder how peace has been an important theme within art - even for the classics in Ancient Greece.
