This painting is a symbolic view on the human-nature relationship as well as on the boundary between the external and internal side of ourselves. In Switzerland you may find many tunnels and all of them are integral with a mountain landscape. When you enter a tunnel almost 60 km long sitting in a train going over 200 km per hour, you wonder whether you will disappear into the darkness or feel the riot of colors and shapes that are above you.
