Dana Puhosh — born as Dénes Kiss in 1967 — is a contemporary Hungarian painter known for his emotionally charged, intuitive, and symbol-driven abstract works. Living and working in the village of Sénye in Zala County, he creates art in his personal studio and gallery called Fonfa Liget, a space dedicated to creativity, reflection, and artistic collaboration. Puhosh’s art emerges from a deep inner flow: he paints without preliminary sketches, allowing instinct, memory, and raw emotion to shape each piece. His works often function as windows into alternative dimensions — inviting viewers to step beyond the visible world into psychological, mythical, and dreamlike territories. He held his first solo exhibition in 2004, and his recent shows — including Magic in the Plastic World in Zalaegerszeg — highlight his unique voice as a painter-performer. His painting Hero of the Suburbs has been added to the collection of the Göcseji Museum.
