This work continues the “Last Summer” series, reflecting on memory and the emotional intensity of fleeting summer moments. The composition is inspired by classical representations of athletic bodies, celebrating physical beauty, harmony, and balance. At the same time, the painting evokes a sensory memory of summer — the smell of chlorine mixed with sunscreen, the warmth of the sun on the skin, and the pleasant fatigue that follows repeated jumps into the water. It is an ode to the athletic body, but also to the atmosphere of carefree summer days suspended between movement and rest. The limited palette of turquoise and red creates a negative-like visual language, reinforcing the idea of memory as fragmentary and emotionally charged, and linking the work to the broader “Last Summer” series.
