The Psychopedagogue’s Fascination grew from a deeply personal concern for my daughter and from imagining the way a psychopedagogue searches for clues within a child’s home, family, behavior, and inner world. The house-like head becomes a metaphor for the subconscious, while the internal light suggests examination, awareness, and life. The colorful looping forms evoke childhood energy, confusion, imagination, and joy. Constructed largely from reclaimed plastics over PVC, the sculpture also reflects my continuing interest in looking beneath what is visible and finding value in what has been discarded.
